Hi World!
Making art in many forms has
always been a passion of mine and I’ve loved trying it in several forms, some
more successfully than others: drawing (pencils, colored pencils, pastels), painting
(acrylics, oils, and pouring), 3-dimensional (clay, paper mache’, plaster, some
jewelry including using dried acrylic paint from paintings to do so). I’ve
taught in-person art classes for children and adults and may possibly expand to
YouTube as it’s been a wonderful resource for me with other fine and talented
artists showing their work as they create it.
And I’m happy to share my work
via sales and I do welcome special orders.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
I SEE THINGS.
Not clairvoyantly (thank goodness), but as I walk, drive, or ride as a passenger. Clouds become ships, people, animals, or I enjoy how a house or barn aged, the shadows and highlights on leaves in spring, summer, fall and winter, or bark on a tree, animals, big round bales in a field, or just color combinations. I imagine you've done that too. I snapshot a lot of these for future reference and they become inspiration for my art. My current mediums are acrylics, some pastels and pencil. Art in many forms has been a passion of mine since I was in elementary school. I began improving my chalkboard and crayon skills with charcoals, watercolors later, and high school classes introduced me to oil painting. As an Art Ed major at William Woods, I studied balance and shadowing, creating clay forms both hand-crafted and on the potter’s wheel, and acrylics, pastels, along with more abstract art. YouTube has been a wonderful resource with other fine and talented artists showing their work as they create it. I look forward to visitors and can answer questions about a specific item you are drawn to. And I’m happy to share my work via sales and I do welcome special orders.
On a personal note, I’m an educator at heart becoming a teacher of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing and a certified and licensed ASL*/English interpreter and also served as an adjunct at William Woods University. I’ve enjoyed and continue to enjoy my “furry beasts" (dog and cat); love singing and good harmony; enjoyed my Missouri Fox Trotters immensely; dancing; learning about and how to do things; enjoy solitude sometimes and other times togetherness; I’m a passionate reader; and I tenaciously treasure my family. And, of course, making ART! (*American Sign Language)
